About us

NPC Community Trust

Set up in 2007 as one of the elements of NPC Intercement’s BBBEE shareholding, the NPC Education and Entrepreneurial Development Trust is an independent trust that invests in the development of less privileged communities around NPC operations in Kwa Zulu Natal.

The Community Trust provides funding support and implements programmes that will improve learner performance in schools in our beneficiary communities. It also provides access to tertiary education through its study assistance programme offered to young people.

In order to contribute to the local economic development and the promotion of entrepreneurship in the three geographical focus areas, the Community Trust invests in the development of micro enterprises.

This is done by supporting community based income generating projects, cooperatives, micro-sized enterprises that will generate income and create employment for unemployed people in our beneficiary communities.
